Check that oil before you run it each time - one of the sleeves is probably leaking at the seal. I've got an old A that's like yours. I run it if I need to mow something out of the ordinary or an auger needs to be used. It's a great little auger tractor and those woods mowers do a perfect job. She fires every time but the engine on mine is getting very tired. I'm shocked I haven't found coolant in the oil yet.
