Was mowing with the VAC and a 501 sickle bar thursday.
Got half of the field mowed and the wood pitman broke,(I made 4 extras last year).
It was late so I tipped it up and headed through 2-3 ft grass straight for the gate. Next morning went to fix it and the ball and socket on the bar side was missing along with 2 foot of wood, no problem, walked down and followed my tracks 3 or 4 times, nada.
Called my wife and asked her to bring some batteries for the metal detector, still couldn't find it,
Had the brush hog on the 8N and went to mowing knowing the BANG CLANG was coming, nothing...gone!
Neighbor has 3 mules in there and wife thinks they were playing with it.
