Hey Jeff this should be an easy fix. The "dope" of how the machine works. Engine runs and compressor builds pressure. You have a two cylinder "K" pump on your machine with a 5hp Honda? When the system gets to 125lbs. of pressure a {Pilot} valve opens and the {unloaders} in the head of the pump push down and open the two intake disk valves and the pump goes into a "coasting" phase. Simple fix is you need a new Pilot valve. Look on Fleabay and look up this number. 262013865797 This is as cheap as you are going to find them and they do wear out. I have changed out several over the years on machines and this is like 98% the problem. By the way....DO NOT mess with or try to adjust these things!! They are set at the factory to pop off at 125lbs. and that is that! If your machine is in Perfect condition it should go from 0 to 125 in about 32 / 35 seconds. That is if you have changed oil and air filters as they were needed and you haven't messed up the pistons and rings or scored the cylinders. The little valves in the head very seldom go bad. These are the Caddy of pumps and should last your life time if you take care of them. If it takes a lot longer than the times, then you have some big problems. Also make sure the little air tubes are clear. The Honda is a real big deal! Don't forget to drain the tanks. The pumps take straight 30wt ND oil in the pump. Get back to me if you have more questions. Oh one more...The little round ID tags tell you year month day and the unit count for the day. A two hundred count day was pretty high.
