Shop around!!! Also make sure they are not jacking her coverage up. I was with Farm Bureau for years. Then I noticed the premiums started creeping up every year. Noticed the Agent was raising the coverage levels. I confronted him about it and he said I was worth more each year so I need to protect myself more. WHAT???? That is my business not his. My cars/pickups/house had raised from $1700 to over $3000 over three years. I shopped around and went with State Farm for under $1900 for 90% of the coverage that I had been raised to with Farm Bureau.
Now State Farm is getting higher. I have gotten several quotes and am waiting for two more. State Farm had better get in shape or I am history.
We have not had a claim in over ten years and even then it was peanuts. Insurance is something I hope to never use. So I do not play the gimmick game with them. You cover me for so much, for so long, for X dollars. I do not care about your discounts for multiple cars, houses and whatever. I shop PRICE/coverage amounts. How the agent/company get the price to match/beat what I currently have is not important to me.
