Hello I am in the market for another tractor. I started out with a to30 ferguson and stepped up to a IH 424 with loader 4 years ago and just sold it as it was to heavy for my needs. I was thinking compact or sub compact. I am wanting to get another brush cutter as I sold mine with my old tractor. I am only brush cutting around 2 acres. I do want a loader. I have held on to my 6 foot box blade and 7 foot scraper blade, if need be I can sell or trade this off. I would like to get either a belly mower or pull behind mower, someone has offered me a 72 in finish mower if I need it. My main question is what is the hp cut out on the newer tractors, for using different mowers like a 5ft brush cutter and a 5 or 6 foot finish mower (if I dont get a belly mower) I have been use to brush cutting 30 inch plus tall grass with my old tractor and don't know how a newer one, less hp will handle it. also figure I will get a hydrastat trans. I am planning using the mower in a couple years instead of brush hogging, I do have zero turn I use on the other 3.5 acres so I figure if the wife and I can mow at the same time we can knock it quick. thanks in advance, I can get a new subcompact mahindra for the price of an early 2000s compact tractor
