Local NAPA franchise was bought out by Oreillys a few years back, and all of my favorite parts people went as part of the deal. So, I followed the people I knew could find what I needed there, and started buying from them instead of NAPA. What I was told by my parts people is that both have nearly identical inventories, as well as supply lines as a whole. In other words, what one can get, the other can get also.
NAPA carries their own brand of filters, made by WIX, Oreillys carries WIX (((Drop the first number in the WIX numbering system for the NAPA number for those that don't know that already. Examole 45678 WIX equals 5678 NAPA)))If I remember right, NAPA's Echlin brand is made by Borg Warner, which is sold by Oreillys.
Too, Oreillys has a wall of catalogs for those things they can't find on the computer.
Regardless of the name on the building, if they don't have a good parts crew, they will be no better, or worse, than anywhere else...

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Not a place one would associate with farms or farm machinery. I credit my parents for instilling a lot of good values, a respect for learning, a knowledge of various skills and a little knowledge of farming in me, amo
