Old, Here is my sad take on US values. Kids and some adults think as long as athletics make a lot of money they are great people. Kids today want to follow in their foot steps, forget learning something in school. Sports is more important.
Other countries want their kids to go to school, get a good education, go to the best college and have an honorable profession, like becoming a DR. Think about it, where do most of our DR's come from? Did a brain surgeon go to med school on a football scholarship?We import them. US kids value sports over becoming Dr's.
