I think they are getting info to someone somewhere for advertising is why 10 is "free". There are ways to stop or slow some of it. Microsoft said some of the workings of it is to give you a better experience, which may be more convenience but I would rather it not and let me decide, especially if I want it. I think there are a lot of things in the operation of windows 10 that are hidden is part of the problem. Windows 7 is slower on my computer the last couple months with internet explorer and at times it freezes. I even wonder if Microsoft is purposely messing with updates so people get frustrated and go to 10.
