"All I can say to any of you,if yours hasn't updated, and you get a message telling you a time and day that it will,FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT'S HOLY,TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER!"
If you get that message there is a link in the middle of it to
postpone or cancel it. That link would be a better choice.
Clicking the X to close it or turning off the computer still
schedules the update on the date specified.
It is different, give yourself a little time to get used to it.
I have been running Windows 10 since the first developer's
preview release. I wouldn't go back to any other version of Windows.
I have it running on computers that are 8+ years old without issue.
A couple of customers have had printers too old to work without
new drivers and one had a 15+ year old program that wouldn't
work on it. Other than that, it seems to have worked well for them.
What I would do is get familiar with changing the security
settings to select what data they collect. Every time they release
an update it seems that they reset them all to their defaults.
Those default settings collect a lot of information.
Information that can be sold to the highest bidder.
Same thing Mozilla, Google and Facebook have been doing.
Microsoft was a little slow on the uptake on this one. ;)

I’d probably plowed about 3000 acres (in my head anyway) by the time they found me. This is where my love for tractors started and has only gotten worse in my tender 50 yrs on this “green planet”. I’m par
