You can apply down pressure with a fast hitch. That used to be a selling point. Didn't have to use a jack to lift rear of tractor to move wheels etc. Always remember the first 560 we sold. It came with a fast hitch, customer wanted the tractor now but wanted us to take the fast hitch off later. Boss was working on him showing him the advantages of the fast hitch. Well, we needed to move the wheels as close as possible as he was hauling the tractor on a straight job truck. We put a stand under the drawbar and pushed lever to lower hitch. Tractor did a jumping jack imitation. The boss was dumbfounded. Didn't impress customer much. The reason it would not hold the tractor with out continually resetting was they only had a single action check valve. That worked fine on older model tractors but the new teledepth hitch valve system used a much looser spool and would leak back down almost instantly. That problem was solved right quick with a double action check valve but the customer kept the fast hitch anyway. End of story.
