Whenever I hear of an instance where a long, committed marriage has been ended by death of one or the other of the two life partners, I am reminded of the following poem. It was recorded by southern gospel bass singer George Younce, with the song "Beyond the Sunset" as background accompaniment. (It's on YouTube, and worth Googling) I think it beautifully depicts how a long, loving marital relationship is only the beginning of the journey for both. I hope you and others in similar circumstances can take some measure of comfort from it. I cannot speak from experience, only desire, as unfortunately, I have not been so blessed in life.
SHOULD YOU GO FIRST
Should you go first, and I remain, to walk the road alone, I'll live in memory’s garden, dear, with happy days we've known.
In spring I'll watch for roses red, when faded, the lilacs blue. In early fall when brown leaves call, I'll catch a glimpse of you.
Should you go first, and I remain, to finish with the scroll, no lengthening shadows shall creep in to make this life seem droll.
We've known so much of happiness, and we've had our cup of joy; but memory is one gift of God that death cannot destroy.
Should you go first, and I remain, for battles to be fought, Each thing you've touched along the way will be a hallowed spot:
I'll hear your voice, I'll see your smile--though blindly I may grope-- The memory of your helping hand will buoy me on with hope.
Should you go first, and I remain, one thing I'll have you do: Walk slowly down that long, long path, for soon I'll follow you.
I want to know each step you take, so I may take the same. For someday--someday--down that lonely road you'll hear me call your name.

Today's Featured Article - Hydraulics - Cylinder Anatomy - by Curtis von Fange. Let’s make one more addition to our series on hydraulics. I’ve noticed a few questions in the comment section that could pertain to hydraulic cylinders so I thought we could take a short look at this real workhorse of the circuit. Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
