Larry the JD 2305 is the economy. Nothing wrong with that but it is a striped down version of the premium model JD 2320. The biggest thing you would need to do is test drive the tractor and run the loader an backhoe. The ones I have ran seem slow to me. I know I am used to full size stuff but trying to dig much with a real slow machine would not be for me. The JD 2305 does not have that much hydraulic flow 2.9 flow to the functions and 2.3 for the steering. The JD 2320 is 3.4 and 2.2 for the steering. The flow is not much different but the operating pressure is. JD 2305 is 1980 PSI and the JD 2320 is 2420. That is where your really notice the difference.
As for price he is in the ballpark. If he deals down to $17000 or so it would be a good deal to me. I would take it over the replacement models as the newer ones have more electronics and plastic over that model.
