I've had two bad infections - one on my wrist from a bad scrape that ground in rust, dirt and 40 year old grease while working on an old . Formed pretty bad infection pocket that I squeezed out a couple times. Had it lasted another couple days I was going to the doctor. Years back I was stabbed by a coworker (accidently) while working at a meat packing plant. He got me in the forearm with a bloody cutting knife. I don't know if it was the cow blood or the general nasty condition of the safety mesh equipment but 2 days later I had a really bad infection that swelled up my forearm and hand making it extremely difficult to grip anything. Was put on some serious antibiotics for a couple weeks by the company doctor.
