I knew J D parts ain't coming cheap but i found out they are getting plain criminal!!.
I needed a transmission lube pressure sensor/switch,..little tiny 1/8 NPT body with a single spade terminal for the lube circuit and a volt meter(plugs in the dash gauge cluster)for a 8640 4WDr tractor i have recently acquired.
I just about got a heart attack when they told me the price!.
$ 134 for the sensor and $ 232 + change for the gauge !!.
I told them to keep it as they are obviously made from gold and diamonds and i don't care for neither gold or diamonds.
I later happened to find an identical sensor in a box with odds and ends in my old shop so i am good there and i guess the tractor will run fine without a working volt meter.
I just hope that that old girl don't pull any more tricks on me that requires parts with prices like that although i don't hold my breath.
