I am wondering if I have the same problem as you? In my IHC 300 Utility, the t/a works fine, etc. All the gears are as they should be. It makes a sort of repetitive 'clunking' noise deep in the trans when taking off. Sort of like it winds up and releases. I thought the clutch would set in and these jerky take-off symptoms would go away. It seems to do no harm. After 30 hours of use there is no change. I am picking up an old transmission for spare parts soon anyway, but the problem may be in the clutch... The problem was in the tractor before I changed the clutch. Once on the road, the thing runs and drives beautifully.
