I had a stroke when I was 27. I'm still kicking!
It will be frustrating because your body won't do what you want. Keep pushing yourself. Your brain will make new pathways to overcome what no longer works. I still have some funny quirks. I can't play games with dice without counting the dots each time (it's called subitizing). When I write things I can't tell the difference between G and J.
You won't be the same. Just don't worry about what's different. Think about doing the things you enjoy. The harder you work to fuss with nuts and bolts the sooner your brain will figure out how to do it.
I told my mom that I was glad it was me and not them or my brothers with kids. It's still easier to be the one with the stroke than watch someone you love and not understand what's happening. You can do it!
