I am another stroke survivor (over 10 years ago now). I was fortunate and I knew something was terribly wrong, just not what, and I am not one to run to a Dr or ER unless I am totally down. I finally went to ER 3 days later, and was in hospital for 3 days (biggest issue was inability to work). Within 3 weeks I was back at work (I work on computer doing IT support work). While most of my issue was not physical, but was speech, and short term memory related, the Dr told me to get back to doing what I could as quickly as possible, and push myself. I went from not being able to repeat a 4 word sentence (literally) to working in a matter of days with some therapy. Now, am I 100% back where I was before this? No, but close, and I refused to give in, as some would, and I am sure I could have fairly easily decided I was going to go on disability and "work" the systems. That is not an option in my mind as I have worked full time since I was 18 years old (nearly 57 now) and that was the only time I was off work for a brief time other than vacation. I hope to retire in the not so distant future, but want it on my terms and be fully capable of supporting myself both physically and financially. Hang in there as it sounds like you are already on the road to improvement.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
