Farmall 140 - Belly or Rotary Mower?

Now I have a question that might cause quite a stir: Because (from what I've been told), the Farmall 140 has neither a 2 or 3 PT hitch, I have a decision to make. Should I fit the tractor with a 3 PT hitch using a conversion kit or get my hands on a WOODS belly mower? The reason I ask is because I use the tractor to: cut about 5 acres in VT. Since I get up there only 2 - 4 times per mowing season, the current mowing deck is taking a real beating fighting that overgrown acreage. The belts and pully alike are constantly getting bogged down. My thinking was that with the 3 PT hitch conversion kit, I could use a rotary cutter and really "attack" the growth. I've been told, however, that the conversion kit would be a real pain, in part, because the PTO is so high and to the left. Someone else suggested that the WOODS belly mower would be far more effective than the GATOR I am currently using. Being a novice to tractors in general, I'll rely upon you advises..... Thanks,
