1. Loosen three bolts that tighten wedges. 2. Tighten up two jack screws against wedges. 3. Soak everything with your favorite squirrel /&*!. 4. Take 8 lb mall and smack end of axle flush on end. 5. Try to tighten jack screw. If you have helper have one of you apply pressure while other smacks axle. I am assuming the 1010 has rack and pinion axles. If you get wedge loose 40-50 years of rust and dust will make it hard going. If it moves at all keep going back and forth while brushing, blowing crap away.
