I've spent 12 hour days in the tractor this week planting milo and beans. I'm about to go stir crazy! I think if I chew any more gum or sunflower seeds my jaw is going to lock tight. I hope not - singing along is a pretty good way to waste the hours, too. If I put in a good day tomorrow I may get the last 130 acres in. That's what I'm shooting for with rain predicted Sunday morning.
I've tried to make it as easy as possible - air conditioned tractor with a quiet cab, GPS, satellite radio, and a 12 row planter. It's amazing the amount of work we used to do with an old four row JD planter with small hoppers. No wonder we were working ourselves silly on 640 acres.
