It's a job... I don't really miss the free horse I got for my girlfriend and had to take care of and pay the vet way too much and trim its toenails and find a place to winter it in that didn't involve cattle. It was old but supposedly the best horse anyone in this area had seen in a coon's age.
Nice enough horse... Can't train a girlfriend new tricks.. Meaning: How to take care of an animal.. Work with it.. Etc.
But I was totally impressed with the farrier... Showed up, didn't care the situation, got the horse rounded up and done. Very nice man.
