Royse The new system is windows 7. But I think widows 10 is already trying to sneek in. The POS is called Rock solid and as a back office computer. I wanted to use micro soft office. So I can have and use the same word documents and excel spread sheets that I have spent the last seven years honing to my hardware store needs and besides Yahoo mail blows. I am not much of a computer person. I am going from a 2800 square foot store to a 6500 square foot brand new Destination True Value store. Learning a POS system and also the color match computers. Will be computer overload for me and my slow learning curve in computers. I have recently upgraded to a smart phone to help me in the store from a flip phone. And that thing makes my head hurt. So by staying with the Micro soft office that will lesson my learning curve and computer anxiety. When I have many other things that will need my full attention and brain power to get this new store off the ground and running the best it can be. Thanks for every ones help.
