Paul thing of it is to I think most of us it's more of an attitude than anything else. Guy doesn't have to farm to have the same attitude. I know a guy who owns an auto dealership. Same kind of attitude. Drives him nuts that he isn't the biggest dealer in the area. But total jerk. Most of my contact with him is through a shooting club. On the range the guy spends more time showing off expensive hardware than shooting. Then gets mad when a guy with a less expensive gun outshoots him.
A wise old man one time told me that your attitude is the biggest determining factor in life. Most guys like that are never happy.
