I learned to shoot on grandpa's ruger 10/22, so that holds a special place. Also used dad's 870 and Enfield 30-06 (rebarreled) . I like my ruger mark III since it seems more forgiving for my flinching lol. I've shot a s&w 686 in the 357 and really love that gun, heavy like a real gun should be and crisp trigger. After that the 1911 made by Kimber really impressed me. I guess i kinda prefer the old stuff with the understanding that my friends newer stuff fills a niche also.
