Funny story, in about 1988 I had a 1600 Loadstar hay truck with bad brakes. I bought a new booster (outside left frame rail) after using it for several years in an unsafe condition. Buddy helped me put it on, I headed out on the county road (with no insurance, hadn't been off the farm for years) went 1/4 mile and hit the brakes. Stopped good and heard squealing tires. Looked in the mirror to see a guy with a horse trailer sliding into me. No injuries. Highway patrol had him in patrol car for half hour. Buddy came down from house to vouch that I had brake lights when I left the farm. HP sent the guy on his way and got me in the car. Improper stopping on the roadway. No citation for the other guy. Beer cans in the cab and bed, he was speeding (60 ft skid marks in 40 mph zone) I got cited for no insurance, no brake lights (right one still worked, but he refused to look at it), no inspection sticker. So I pay the other guy's truck off, rebuild it (new fenders, cab, right door, and it was a diesel so I switched everything to the new gas cab) and drive it ten years. Wildfire got the Loadstar before I got around to fixing it. I'm still laughing.
