an hour on the net, two trips to NAPA and a bandage on my hand.
Only one hour on the net? Two trips to NAPA? One bandage? I should be asking you for advice!
RE: the Ford 641 above, I have an older Ford 4000 which is very similar. If I could put a loader on that it would be perfect for my 10 or so acres. I use it to mow (rotary mower), blade the driveway a little, etc. I used to use it to move snow and I used it to rip up a small garden a couple of times. Mine is a higher (row crop?) model and it's not as easy to put a loader on as I would have liked. I ended up buying a bigger tractor (JD 3020) with a loader and more power and then getting a bigger snow blower but I can't bear to get rid of the Ford, it's pretty much perfect for those other jobs and the JD feels too big at times (I also have a 6' mower and blade, the JD is about 7' wide the way it's set up now.
The Ford is easy to work on. 8ns seem to be overpriced around me (IMO). My Ford has a two stage clutch, which works as well as a live PTO for what I do.
