Whether we like hearing it or not, it is easy to dismiss more and more things as caused by "city do-gooders". Do-gooders come in all shapes and sizes. In our smaller rural community and surrounding area, the most dangerous "do-gooders" are the 3rd-4th generation retired farm family members who now live in town, have a lot of time on their hands and have taken up a variety of do-gooder causes. In many cases, this is in coordination with their children who quickly went on to college and doctor, lawyer, exec. careers in the big city.
One example is watching 4H being changed into something that is unrecognizable today from the clubs and activities we knew growing up in the 50-60's.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
