This row crop 66 once belonged to my grandfather on my mom's side. One day my father who is no longer with us came to me and said" the neighbour up the road has your grandfathers Oliver and agreed to sell it,I think your mother would like to have it,what do you think?" I said sure, sounds good to me. Later that day I happened to be at their house and Dad said to my mother , " the neighbor up the road has your fathers old Oliver and has agreed to sell it and I think Dwayne would like if we bought it,what do you think?" Lol I think we know by now who really wanted it but we all had a great laugh. Deal was they bought it for the wheels for their own as it wasn't running so they put the rusty ones on Grandads paid them and brought her home. Dad had it running nicely in no time. New seals plugs wires freed up this and replaced that. When he suddenly passed the pro was apart on the shop floor. Some time later I got it back together replaced the battery start button and water pump. But what about the rusted out wheels? My father in law spotted a really good parts tractor not far from here and my wonderful wife bought it as a surprise birthday/Father's Day gift 3 years ago and today I finally swapped out the wheels lol. The old family tractors home and running like a top thanks to my Dad and good wheels thanks to my fil and wife! Planning to use it in this falls tractor run and hopefully get at sand blasting and painting at some point.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
