Depends on the type of knock could be a piece of loose carbon in a cylinder or it could be a rod knock and that's why it sat for six years.What did the person you bought it from say about it?Of course that might not be exactly the truth for sure it might give you some idea.Sounds like you'll be needing to pull the head though.Import Tractor as well as several other companies have manuals and parts.Those are real nice handy tractors once you get it running.How many hours is it showing on the meter? Are you used to hearing diesel engines run,as those motors have a 'knock' compared to gas motors anyway.
