I found answers to questions I had about maintaining my road and how to set up my grader blade.
There are men here on this forum that are very experienced and can answer most any question you will have.
In my experiences you need a good grader blade and a box blade. But you may use the box blade more than the grader blade, but it is easier to move gravel/dirt back to the center of the road and shape contours and ditches with a grader blade. But just to smooth and make a gravel road look pretty, a box blade is hard to beat, unless you are on a road grader machine.
I like to grade my gravel road after a rain, that way I'm not losing the "fines" and tons of material out of the road (like when its dry and dusty). I get it shaped quickly, and can pack it down by repeatedly driving my tractor, then my pickup truck over the still wet surface. That makes for a pretty smooth and dust-free gravel road.
