You are in a hard place for sure, sounds like the guy has no regard for others property,, to me he clearly owes you for at least a rental for the whole time,, Plus damages,,, but where you had no signed contract detailing it all out you may have a legal issue,, I have done this myself more than once,, last time I lost a good tractor and loader,, guy never brought it back to me, I tried to contact him no go,, found out he passed away in another town, a bit more digging he Sold my tractor before he moved,, I am out 5 grand and no way to get any thing back,, hope you have better luck cnt
