If you want to get rid of it. Now is the time here in August to spray it with Roundup. All the ryzones should be done sprouting and you can get about an 80% permanent kill by spraying now while the seed heads have appeared but before they go to seed. It may take 2-3 years to get rid of them totally but it'll be worth it. Be sure to use a crop oil or dish detergent with your mixture. Don't spray if the temperature is above 85° because any hotter than that the plants protect themselves with a waxy coating over their leaves or grass blades. A rope wick works excellent also because it will make contact on the under side of the leaves or grass blades which is the tender part of the plant and you get a better kill. It'll take more than one spraying to clean up your land. Just speaking from experience.
