I was in up state New York at the Ren. fair outside of Oswego. A little after two pm Saturday a double thunder storm came blasting through with 40 Plus gusts and lightning all over the place. The rain was washing away the pathways almost two feet down into the ground with tons of water. Out in the parking lot a big honkin bolt of lightning struck the ground near one of the big dumpsters. WOW was that ever loud. Found out the next day it had fried the electronics in Six cars that were nearby! Take about excitement! On the weather channel that night you could see that system from the gulf coast all the way up into lower Canada and there were multiple RED systems going everywhere. One was across the our farm in central jersey. The Sunday was a pleasant day and all went fine till about three PM. My cell phone went off with the number of a helper up where my folks farm is. I had no reception up there so I couldn't call back. About ten minutes latter my Sister's number popped up. My next thought was " O S******* this is not going to be good." !!!!!!! Had to drive about 15 miles till I could get reception. Called my sister. Wind blew through and took out a couple of the power poles, Transformer and all, broke a bunch of trees, almost wiped out the lower gravel road to the other side of the farm, and took the roof off of the main pole building. Guess whose side of the farm the pole shed is on????! MINE! Called the insurance and will most likely get a call from the adjuster today. WHY ME!!???? How many of you guys got hit by this system? Up in NY there were flat corn fields and bean fields all over the place.

Some have been very good, some have been well, disappointing to say the least. But no matter how good or bad auctions may be, we always seem to stay until the item we've come for or are interested in is on the block. I've been to some auctions near and far. I think the furthest has been the Two Cylinder 7 in the Amana Colonies last year. Lots of stuff, lots of people. I've also atten
