I need some help guys. I bought a jubilee about 3 months ago. Great condition considering. I've been trying to get this beast mechanically sound. Now I'm up against a wall with the hydro. I changed the fluid and has been a bear every sense. I used 134d and it seemed to have some issues with lifting when it got heated up. Some not knowing better I drained it and dumped 80w90 in it after reading forums. Bad idea. Foamed up like a dog with rabies. So I let it drain for about 4 hours and ran a fresh dose of 134 in it and I'm having a really bad growling from the pump and there is light foam on the stick. Still lifting issues. My local guy tells me the pump is on it way out. And said the vane pump is crap. I'm thinking it last 60 years. Why not rebuild for another 60. But he wants me to switch over to a piston system. I called yesterday tractor and a kit is $380 for a cartridge reman kit. That's cheaper than a switch over to a piston system. Throw me a bone. I need your help.

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
