Barnyard you are partly right. I was a very active director at a threshing show for 23 or so years and yes, there are only a few ambitious ones who carry out the wishes of the majority who want a big fancy show but the majority sure are vocal if the active ones don't do something exactly right. I am so glad I am not trying to recruit workers anymore. It takes more dedication than most realize to be a good board member. Sometimes an organization is run by a tight little circle of members who won't let the new Guy's ideas be considered.
