I have 3 Merry Tillers. The oldest one was one I bought for my dad in 1959. It had a Clinton engine and when my dad died I took over the farm and when my mom remarried I gave it to my step-dad, Later I married and bought a later model. After a couple years my wife moved on to better company for both of us. My stepdad told me he had worn it out and was going to give it back to me. I told him I would give him the new one and no more than I did garden work the worn out engine was something I could handle. I bought a new engine from Surplus Center. Stepdad died and mom gave it back to me. Then a fellow was moving away and gave me another one. They have an enclosed chain drive and gave no trouble. I keep them inside and they work perfectly.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
