A little back ground on this area of Michigan relates back before air conditioning, many businessmen from Chicago and St. Louis would have a place in this area and send their families up to spend the Summer season in cooler Northern Michigan. I do not of anybody who has given back to society more than these two gentleman from Hospitals, Universities and colleges, art and cultural arenas and so on. The yacht "Blue Moon" is owned by a Chicago businessman who like many other wealthy people owns many different businesses. Both of these gentlemen are now in their nineties and are enjoying their fruits of their labors.
