I am more than a little stupid on this subject, but I just can not wrap my head around what is going on here. Man wants to buy my tractor, wants to send me extra money to pay the folks when they come to get it and take it to him. Sends me a cashiers check and I take it to my bank where we put a hold on all funds until check clears and the money is safe in my bank. Get a call from bank yesterday where check came back refer to maker. Which really does not surprise me, get a text from him this morning saying that the check should be cleared by now, to which my reply was "Your check is no good", so I ask again what is going on here, if it is a scam what can he possibly think he is beating me out of. My tractor will not roll a tire until I have money in hand approved by my bank. your thoughts?
