You weren't there so you don't know how level the field was....I walked the length of the field more than once..The field was almost 1 mile long with lots of slope from south to north and it had numerous terraces...You don't put terraces on level ground..I tried to take the pictures where it was the most level because they were having trouble plowing where it wasn't..
SE Kansas is far more level than NE and NC Kansas..Western Kansas is the flattest..Heres a picture of a plow being retrieved out of a terrace after the steamer got stuck and couldnt pull it..
