Jasper is the only reman company that actually fixes the problem with the phasers as far as I know. I believe they bore and sleeve the head and they also put in a heavy duty oil pump with a stiffer cover. Oil bypassing the pump cover is what contributes to the phaser wear. Be prepared to get out your wallet, you are looking at atleast $4K for the engine, plus labor, other parts and tax. 5.4 3V is one of the most difficult gas engine replacements I have ever done. Swear if I do another, the cab is coming off.
