: OK... I'll try to keep this one brief: : On the right side of the 140 (looking from the rear)and nearly directly above the bell housing (from a side view)of the trans., there is a piece connected to the hydraulics. I use this piece to raise and lower and mower deck but a portion has been broken. My guess is that this piece was instrumental in raising and lowering the fast hitch (which I don't have). As mentioned, this piece is broken, and I will, eventually, need to find a replacement. Unfortunately, I haven't a clue as to what this piece is called (or for that matter, what caused it to break). : Any thoughts? : (Don H./Farmer - in a continuing effort to avoid being placed in that 5th catagory, and being called stupid, I figured.. "what the heck, go ahead and ask") : Thanks folks, : Bob You've just described a 'Lift Arm'. That is connected to the 'rockshaft', which is in turn, rotated though it's arc by the 'lift cylinder'. The lift arm would have had a linkage to the fast hitch at one time.
