Going through a local 35 mph construction zone July 4 I was met by a trooper and I saw he was stopping. I thought good He's going to nab that jerk behind me gaining real fast. I was wrong. He asked why I was going 49 in a 35. I said I wasn't I had my cruise on 39 and my gps and speedometer both showed that speed. I said I thought you were stopping that car behind me. He said I wouldn't have stopped you for 39. He went back to his Dodge and sat there a minute and then came and said you can go. He didn't admit he was wrong and I didn't press the issue. But I know he would not have let me slide If I was going 49 in a 35. I was quite relieved because that stretch of road has made for easy pickings for months while under construction. TDF
