I too use Linseed oil mixed 50% with cheap mineral sprits on my wooden trailer floors....only '66 Chevy is a 1/25 plastic model in midnight blue with a white cab. The MS thins it down so that it can be more readily absorbed and then evaporates. I have a 16' tandem utility trailer I bought back in about 1980 and when the orig. non-treated floor died, I went to HD and bought some cheap 6" (as compared to the 10" that came on it) 2x6 pine, gave it a couple of coats and have had it ever since, still without any soft spots. Probably twice in that time I have gone over it just for grins.
