My brother used to fit into that category. He's a great guy but we try to keep him away from tools.
One time we were rotating tires with an impact wrench. We finished one car and he started on the next. He didn't check to see if the lug nuts were the same size (they weren't). He couldn't figure out why the nut wouldn't loosen even though the socket was turning -- he asked me if I thought the stud was loose. Took the better part of a day to get the lug nuts off (they were almost completely round). And yes he did more than one nut!
Lately he seems to be getting better. Maybe anyone can learn.
