I posted this earlier today, but it must have gotten deleted with the spam! Or maybe on purpose! I got called back for a physical and 2nd interview yesterday for a driving job. They wanted a list of all prescription medications and a printout from my CPAP machine. When I got to the medical devices provider, the lady told me that my card had no information on it. She was guessing that the part of the machine that sends information to be recorded on the card had failed. This is old technology. New machines send to a smart phone. I guess I will have to get a new CPAP machine before my DOT physical is due. It is yearly for me as I started taking blood pressure medication.
The company I interviewed with said that they would hold the job for 30 days to get new CPAP information. They would not accept the report from 6 months ago that I had ran for my DOT physical. I decided I could not wait that long to start working. I stopped on the way home to talk to a driver recruiter that had planned on me starting orientation on this coming Wednesday. I got a little more information from him and told him I would be there. It is a little lower paying job and the region is a lot larger with bigger and older cities than what I was expecting of the other job. I guess that after I get some experience I will have a lot more opportunity for a better job. As a humorous aside, I have failed to get lots of good jobs! LOL

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
