I've got a 15 amp circuit breaker, and I don't like running too small a wire. They are getting tucked up under the sleeper on the back of the steps on the Freightliner I drive, so I can find driveways when I go into farm yards at night to deliver feed.
I'm thinking I may get a small junction box to house a couple relays, so that I can run a pair with my back-up lights at the rear of the frame. If these work well facing forward. Two relays, one triggered by a switch in the dash, and the other by the factory feed for the back-up light. That way they work with the back-up lights normally, but I can switch them and keep them on backing into or over a pit.
An idea I had at my old job, was to hang one off the dollies on the hoppers, shining back at the traps, so I could see how much I was putting into the drive-over, when we picked corn at night. Luckily I didn't spend the money on that before I left.
