sitting this one out . gonna get healthy and run for commissioner again in 2018..I was 3rd district commissioner of Harrison county from 2003-07 ,Got Farmland preservation going , I feared the Council would not continue to fund my efforts , So I Ran and went to county council at large in 2008, ,coupled with the efforts of George Rogers Clark Land Trust ,we continue to preserve farmland in Harrison county and adjoining counties as well . , I will complete my 2nd term on the county council at the end of yr,,.. it was a very good privelage and honor to serve ,and I was blessed with a lot of good minds and helping hands that helped me get things done,. BUT ,i got health problems , and I Need a break ,.ie/// this past march 7th they cut me open and took a foot of my colon out that was cancerous,. I have completed 12 chemo treatments ,, I am now cancer free,,but still feeling the after affects of chemo nearly a month later .//. although beforehand I had said I would take ,another term on the council ,. as soon as I found what was dealt me I decided against pushing a hard run , although I idled back, I did not suspend my campaign ...I spent 422 bux on my campaign while the other 4 spent thousands and I lost by 100 votes,,. finishing with7500votes behind the top vote getter who had 7900,there were 4 of us within 500 votes of one another ,. the at large council selects the top 3 vote winners of each party in the primary election to run in the fall,.those top 3 winners will be the 3 new council members,,,. in 2 yrs we will elect 4 district members
