I wouldn't open the engine up unless you know for sure it needs it. I'm saying this because I rebuilt the engine in my 4430 last winter. I did a complete in-frame on it doing everything (as far as I can tell) 100% correct but it still spun a rod bearing not once but a second time after repairing the first. I ended up with a complete used engine
