If you WANT an M&W turbo on your 4020 and have the MONEY, time, and will to do it, GO FOR IT!
You'll have NO problems with it unless you have some custom mods done to the IP that REALLY cranks up the fuel rate and intend to pull the snot out of it all day long.
The naysayers are way out of bounds here.
That being said, I have a 4020 with an M&W turbo I got at an estate sale in 1983, and it STILL isn't all tore up and doesn't have a cracked block (that's just SILLY).
The fellow that previously owned it was a "BTO" of his era, and farmed half the countryside with that tractor and another turbo 4020.
It was rode hard and put away wet (which you can tell to this day by looking at it) but they never were able to "kill" it.
So, unless you intend to get really out of hand with a high fuel rate and overloading it, don't give adding a turbo a second "bad" thought, IMHO.
All that being said, I have 2 extra M&W 4020 turbo setups, which I am NOT planning to liquidate, at this time.

It would be a great day for the collies and the terrier dogs, rats and mice would be at the bottom of the stacks so the dogs, would have a busy time hunting and killing, all the corn was gathered and ricked in what we c
