2001 GMC 4.8 V8 Replacing knock sensors. Ready to put the plastic intake manifold back on.
I'm getting conflicting info. Do I use thread locker on the 10 bolts that hold the manifold onto the heads? the Haynes manual says use medium strength thread locker. NAPA told me don't use anything. All the videos I've watched didn't mention using anything. And then the instructions included with the new Felpro intake manifold gaskets says to put a small amount of light oil on the bolt and under the head of the bolt.
I can't use both oil and lock tight. Plus oil will make it tighten tighter for the same torque settings than no oil as well--so I'm not sure if when torquing down the bolts to do this or not.
Bolt threads and threads in the holes are absolutely clean and dry. The manifold is plastic. I have specs from GM on the two step torque procedure and pattern and it doesn't say anything about thread locker or oil.
I don't want to do this again or run into any problems. Any GM folks know what is recommended?

It increased the farm productivity and, in general, made life easier because more work could be done with this 'mechanical beast'. My dad dreamed that some day he would have his own tractor with every implement he could get. When he rea
